The twenty letter names are tied to trees and plants in medieval Irish scholarship — Auraicept na nÉces and the Bríatharogaim. That is a teaching tradition from manuscripts, not a caption carved on the stones themselves.

The Graves calendar is modern
Robert Graves's The White Goddess (1948) arranged Ogham consonants into a thirteen-month "Celtic tree calendar." There is no early Irish evidence for that year. The tree names are real medieval material. The calendar is a twentieth-century construction.
