Can any English name be written in Ogham?

Only the letters that exist. J, W, Y, and X have no native fid. An Irish equivalent is usually cleaner.

Is Seán the same as John in Ogham?

Seán is the conventional Irish equivalent. John itself drops the J and would read as OHN.
